Tillotts Pharma reinforces its solid plans of expansion throughout Europe with the recent set up of its Spanish affiliate. Spain being one of the key markets in Europe, this step ahead consolidates Tillotts Pharma presence in the Gastroenterology arena around the continent and its strong commitment to continue developing, in/out-licensing and marketing innovative pharmaceutical products, medical devices and diagnostics. The Spanish Affiliate started to be active in September 2011 with its first employee, but it is in 2012 when it starts its real commercial operations in the country. In the words of Sergio Serra, Country Head of Tillotts Pharma Spain, “the future success of our affiliate relies on maintaining a strong focus on our customers and their patients needs, as well as on the high quality of our people, the strength of their experience and their passion at representing Tillotts. That is our key value”. The Spanish affiliate started to commercialize Lixacol ®400mg – Asacol’s ® brand name in Spain – and they plan to launch Simtomax in 2012. Tillotts Pharma headquarters in Spain are located in Barcelona.
