Tillotts has over 26 years experience in commercial liquid-fill manufacturing and is the recognised world leader in pioneering this technology for several global products including Colpermin^® and Mebeverine.

Our annual production volumes exceed over 150 million capsules per annum and we operate two filling, external banding and packing lines in a two-shift operation. We have capacity to expand and flexibility to accommodate higher volumes and/or technology transfer validated commercial processes into customer facilities.

Our Swissmedic approved GMP development and manufacturing facility is based in Ziefen, near Basel in Switzerland and we have established a highly capable and experienced staff such that we can now offer our Customers a “one-stop-shop” for all their liquid-fill development and manufacturing needs.

We welcome prospective customers to visit us and undertake facility audits and meet with our team.

Our contract manufacturing services includes

• Liquid, semi-solid encapsulation in two-piece, hard-shell capsules (gelatine or HPMC)
• Production volume capacity of >300 million capsules/annum
• Blister or bottle packing for finished drug product
• Clinical trial finished drug product supply
• Bulk drug & placebo capsule Bulk capsules/blister-packs/bottle Batch release
• ICH stability testing
• Project and logistics management

We operate two production filling lines at our GMP facility in Ziefen, near Basel using the following commercial scale equipment:

Two automatic capsule filling and sealing lines, each with a capacity ~ 50,000 capsules/h.

• Filling: Bosch GKF 1500L
• Sealing (banding): Shionogi S100
• >150 million liquid-fill capsules manufactured in 2011
• Capacity of >300 million capsules per annum
