Tillotts Cares

Christmas Donation to Laos

Tillotts cares for people, who suffer from various disabilities and makes a Christmas donation every year to the CBM Christoffel Blindenmission. The impressive journey to Nepal and Laos made by Tillotts’ CEO Thomas A. Tóth, including a visit to a centre for children with disabilities, motivated Tillotts to continue to support this NGO since 2011.

For the upcoming years, our donation will be benefiting men, women and children in Luang Prabang, Laos, who are affected from various disabilities. The specific project aims to empower women, men, girls and boys with all disabilities in their communities and to provide equal access to social life activities and necessary services, such as health care, education, work or social services in their place of residence.

It is Tillotts’ hope that this contribution will bring some joy, happiness and courage to the people of Laos and help them in their daily lives.

You can find a couple of impressions from the project below.

Village children watch a person with a disability with interest. It is important to sensitise the local population to people with disabilities to improve the living conditions of all people with disabilities in the future.

In 2023, our CEO, Thomas A. Tóth von Kiskér, handed over the cheque to Cristoforo Gautschi, Managing Director at CBM, which was warmly welcomed by the organization. We were pleased to hear that our donation will be used for helping girls and women with disabilities in Laos who suffer from discrimination and exclusion in relation to education and career opportunities. CBM empowers them by providing training that strengthens their economic independence and thereby promotes diversity and inclusion.  We are confident our donation will help CBM to continue its inspiring work and make a positive impact on those in need.
